Video from Roundtable Posted to YouTube
Richard Gutjahr, one of the German visitors from earlier this week, has posted a short video from the roundtable with student and faculty members of the Studio for New Media on May 5th.
Earlier this week, three visitors, invited to the United States under the auspices of the Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program, came from Germany to visit the Studio for New Media to learn about how we research, teach, and develop new media. Their visit to the Studio was part of a tour of new media production across the United States: they have visited Washington D.C., Seattle, Central Iowa (including both Des Moines and Ames), and yesterday left for New York City. You can read more about their visit here.
One of the three visitors, Richard Gutjahr, videotaped several of the meetings, including a roundtable conversation with graduate student and faculty members of the Studio. He placed some edited clips from his recordings on YouTube yesterday, May 7. For those of you who were unable to attend in person, we post a link to the video here, as well:
He titled his video "Academia 2.0." Please feel free to watch and enjoy the discussion, and to post comments to the Studio Forums.
