Studio Members Featured on IPTV

Several members of the Studio were interviewed recently for an Assignment Iowa documentary on Iowa Public Television. The episode, entitled The Digital Horizon, was shown on December 11, 2006.

The episode discussed the growing significance of new media for students in higher education. Geoff Sauer was interviewed about the growing number of students engaged in online education:

Interviews with students provided detailed examples of new media influences on students' experience of higher education. Rachel Johnson spoke about her experience of increasing new media in recent years:

Other members of the Studio were displayed on screen, in examples of streaming media lectures. Quinn Warnick was shown on screen, in an EServer podcast. Rachelle Greer was shown teaching in a computer classroom.

In all, the Studio members did an excellent job of helping IPTV describe the new importance of new media to Iowans.
