High-Definition Projector Installed
The Studio has just installed an Hitachi PJTX100 projector, which can project 720p HDTV video and 1280x800 computer video (almost twice the resolution of our old projector).
Lee Honeycutt and Geoff Sauer today installed a new Hitachi PJTX100 projector in the Studio. This new unit can project 720p high-definition video (nearly twice the resolution of our old projector), or computer digital video from any of the computers in the room (or from the laptop connector) at up to 1280x768 resolution.
The projector is a widescreen model, projecting in the 16:9 aspect ratio now used in high-quality computer monitors and in all HDTVs.
The projector will be connected to the DVI KVM (keyboard/video/mouse) switch, so Studio members can use it from any of the computers in the room (or from their laptop), as well as being connected to the component video switch and distribution amplifier, so video can also be projected from MiniDV videocassette, VHS, or DVD video.
